I did two transactions at Meijer tonight. There are coupons you can print from Meijer's website, and the limit is 1 per transaction. So, I did two transactions. The definition of a transaction is being rung up and paying once. I just put my stuff on the belt with the divider between them, and told the cashier that I had two transactions. No problems.
Transaction 1:
popcorn 1 x 1.79 = 1.79
apples 1.86 pounds x .84 a pound = 1.56
bread 1 x 1.29
cheerios 3 x 2.00 = 6.00 - 3 coupons x .50 = -1.50 == 4.50 total
english muffins .99 - 1.00 coupon = FREE
And, they had a promotion where if you bought 10 certain items at $1 each, you get the 11th free.
hot dogs 1 x 1.00 = 1.00
snack pack pudding 2 x 1.00 - 1 coupon x 1.00 = -1.00 ==1.00
sour cream 1 x 1.00 = 1.00
canned fruit 3x 1.00 = 3.00
chef boyardee 3 x 1.00 = 3.00 - 1 coupon x 1.00 = -1.00 == 2.00
applesauce 1 x 1.00 = 1.00
Total was 17.34
Used the 5 dollar gift card I got in the cereal at Walmart, so paid
12.35 out of pocket
Receipt says I saved 16.33.

Paid 8.75 out of pocket for this one, and the receipt says I saved 6.37

I spent just over half what I am allotted for the week. Which is good, because I think I am going to need the extra next week..... Double coupon event at Kmart!
